Humanity of Algorithms

To be honest, I have never really thought about Algorithms. After this section of the class I have realized that it is in fact a big deal. I learned that human bias can leek into AI, and create a non objective entity. I think that is dangerous grounds to traverse. I see this as a warning that we are meddling with something of great power, and scientific potential. I mean think about it, maybe those movies like the Terminator are not as far fetched as many believed. If AI can already grow to have bias towards minorities, what's stopping something more advance from drawing a conclusion that it must interfere with the way humans live and behave? Of course that would have to be its objective. I think advancement in this field should be done with caution. This could very well be the next scientific technology boom similar to that which resulted from the the nuclear bomb used to subdue feudal Japan.
